About the event
Lakeside Nature Center needs volunteers for their Native Garden!
Lakeside Nature Center oversees 10 garden beds surrounding the center and some are quite large! We will be doing lots of weeding and cutting prairie bundle flower as it is a great plant to help the giraffes at the zoo!
Experience is not necessary, as we learn from each other every time we are together. They have tools and garden gloves but feel free to bring your own weeding tools.
They suggest you:
Dress for the weather and be sure to wear long pants and closed toed shoes (ticks can be bad) and possible hat
Bring a refillable water bottle
